Just Call Me “Carrot Top”

Maybe I’m going overboard with this “waste not, want not” attitude but when I read that carrots tops are a controversial subject on the internet—some say they can be toxic when eaten--I just had to defy that argument and taste them.  
Well, I didn't die… and they taste like a pungent type of parsley so I garnished my chicken sandwich with them.  

Rumor has it that carrot tops can be cooked in soup so I stewed some in broth just to tempt fate. 

This is also good tasting! And I’m alive still

The best part of the carrot, however, remains the spear and these were so fresh from the garden, so clean when washed, and so out-of-this-world when tasted. 

No peeling needed and pan steamed to perfection. So I've lived to..  akkk...k..         ..............................................................
